Clément joined Shift Technology in November 2021 as Head of Total Rewards, where he oversees the Compensation & Benefits strategy internationally across a dozen countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. His responsibilities include salary benchmarks and pay scale definition, annual raise campaigns and budget modeling, variable compensation policy (STI), stock option plan (ESOP) administration and cap table maintenance, as well as monitoring the company's carbon footprint.

Previously at ManoMano and GEFCO, he structured compensation policies, incentives, HR analytics, and HRIS, after gaining initial experience in international mobility and HR at Schneider Electric, Colas, and BMW Group France.

In 2019, after its Series C round, Shift Technology faced a classic challenge for hypergrowth startups: structuring its shareholder management. The former CFO set out to find a solution tailored to the company's needs.

There were two requirements: on the one hand, to ensure rigorous monitoring of the cap table in a context of successive fundraising rounds; on the other hand, to effectively manage the BSPCEs offered to employees. At the time, there were few tools on the French market that were native to the market and understood the specificities of BSPCEs.
